Direct Business Process Mapping strategy of Legacy/Heritage systems, conduct user interviews and lead design teams in facilitation of extracted business rules into Web based solutions using business and data flow diagrams. Lead teams in WML development in WAP projects. Maintain wireless pager Help Desk automation system (IIS, ASP & WML). Enhanced Visual Basic 6.0 Applications using COM and DCOM. Conducted detail analysis of COBOL Accounting system using Microfocus COBOL as an analysis and Knowledge Transfer tool. Bear-Stearns Inc. Whippany, NJ

Investigated Bear-Stearns tardy online customer securities mainframe batch COBOL application. Used Microfocus tools on PC to emulate CICS and VSAM mainframe processing. Produced statistical models using DB2 SPUFI utilities and SQL procedures. Recommendations made saved 2.5 hours daily runtime with savings over $6,000,000 per year.

Softport Systems, Inc. New York, NY

Hands-on Project Manager reporting to Vice President. Managed teams of Java programmers and analysts in multiple securities exchange surveillance and billing applications for Wall Street clients. Responsible for creating and enforcing company Best Practices methodologies, project infrastructure and responsible for the full SDLC strategy of three major projects. Designed and developed top level Web applications using Perl/Cgi, XML and HTML on a client server platform using Sybase for test DBMS and Oracle 8i in production. Produced high level Java class code for stock exchange client application. Investigated OM (Options Market) Assembler code and data structures for data conversion into Java format. Wrote utility Assembler program to aid in this effort. Led design sessions utilizing UML diagrams and Use Case scenarios. Reponsible for User requirements and Change management process

Project Lead/Manager for multiple simultaneous year 2000 projects spanning from Disaster Recovery, JCL Standardization Projects, and data warehousing applications to full remediation of systems for year 2000 compliancy for the Prudential Insurance Company. Projects included conversions of CICS mainframe systems to PC, Visual Basic 3.0 and 4.0 conversion to Visual Basic 6.0 using COM and DCOM Methodologies, REXX on both mainframe and PC platforms, C++ , conversion / compliance of CICS mainframe systems to year 2000 Client-server systems under Unix and Windows N/T, development of regression testing and Y2000 certification strategies. Investigated programs written in Cobol, Assembler, PL/1 and Fortran. Maintained DB2 Databases using SQL/QMF. Projects were based on multiple CICS mainframe and PC client/server Based platforms involving large relational databases. Business Areas Include Insurance Contracts, Group Life policies, Reinsurance processing, Health Care, Policy tracking systems, Budget systems and, Insurance Billing.

Directed automation of mainframe Help Desk processes at SIAC using PC/Lan based GUI interfaces (Flashpoint) and Sybase DBMS for large Stock Securities corporations. Introduced Object-Oriented development using platforms based on C++ & Silhouette.

Supervised coding & testing of Wireless radio conversion of AIG Corp’s Risk Assessment for Reinsurance applications. Heavy Project management,

Directed activities of 2 programmers and Data Base Administrator.

Produced Financial Systems specifications in AR, AP and Fixed Assets.

Assisted Sales personnel in determining user requirements

Converted IMS databases to DB2/SQL-DS in a large data warehouse application.
